Five day, five night workshops for children ages 8 to 13
in Forest Ranch at The Goddess Temple/ 8 miles up Hwy 32

June 20th through June 24th, and/or
August 1st through August 5th
Each session runs from Sunday at 12 noon through Thursday at 7:00 pm
This Workshop will combine a creative performance workshop for children with a conscious, sustainable, retreat style environment. Students will work on an original show while gaining experience, skills and ease in the performance disciplines of music, dance and theater. Children will improve movement skills through the study of dance technique, and use their own ideas to create a performance using movement, acting, music, percussion, and fantasy play. It is an opportunity for children to work imaginatively and non-competitively with each other. The week will culminate in a performance on Thursday evening, which friends and family are invited to view.
In addition to the performance project there will be swimming, hiking, artwork, costume construction, archery, campfires, storytelling, singing and free time. Food will be organic, and the participants will be camping in tepees. To maximize concentration, imagination and embodied reality, this will be a screen free environment - no television, movies, video games, computers or phones. Children may contact parents each day, or as necessary.
